The Training and Placement Cell of the college is headed by a Placement Officer along with Placement Coordinators from each department The Cell has student representatives from all departments. The student representatives and placement coordinators interact for functioning and networking of the cell. Placement Cell works towards recognizing the core competencies of students. It works through a close knit organization and has a structure which conveys information to the students at the fastest possible rate. The placement cell is active throughout the academic year and notifications regarding the placement activities or companies visiting the campus for placement are intimated to the students on prior basis. There is an ample infrastructure provided for the placement activities in the form of High-tech Classrooms with Projector facility, Wi-Fi Facility, Conference Hall, Seminar hall and other important amenities. The placement cell also works towards transforming, developing and enhancing managerial and technical skills in students which are very important in corporate world. Along with the placement facilitation we identify and help our student understand and acknowledge their strengths, weaknesses, interests. We also guide them to explore, identify and help them decide their future endeavors.
The corporate world has become extremely people centric and there is a huge demand for quality manpower and to remain ahead in competition. However there is a gap between industry expectation and student’s offerings. All companies which recruit students from various Engineering & Management Institutes look for different skill sets like technical, managerial and personality traits before making an offer to the students. In order to sharpen their technical skills, managerial skills & polish their communication skills to make them ready for the corporate world, we offer different training programmes which are tailor-made for our students. These programs aim at preparing the students from a campus placement & industry ready point of view. The training part is divided into four categories as shown below.
Communications Skills – Spoken English & different types of communication skill training are provided in the first year.
Aptitude – This training is meant for preparing students to face the online/offline aptitude tests which are part of the recruitment process for most of the companies.
Soft Skills – This training is imparted to students to enhance their personality and to teach corporate etiquette so that they are well prepared not only to face group discussion, interviews, role plays and other assessments. So that students should not have any problem in blending themselves into the corporate culture after joining a company.
Company Specific Training – After all the above trainings, the in-house company specific trainings will be provided to students for top MNCs.
The results of the Pre-Placement Training Programs are evident from the high success rate of our students in different campus interviews & imparting the knowledge of Leadership qualities, Professional ethics, Team spirit and Soft skills to the students with proper and effective guidance given by the eminent professionals for the development of student’s community.
